2008 Celebrity Rapids Long Course Swimming Competition: June 14 - 15, 2008

Here are some pictures from the recent competition held at the Celebrity Sports Club. I will be posting the results as soon as I get these from Coach Restie.

MILO Novice Competition: May 31, 2008

Following are the results of the second Novice competition held at the Ultra swimming pool last May 31, 2008 sponsored by Milo:

1. Arrojado, Mark Daniel - 1 bronze
2. De Guzman, Kyle Linus - 1 silver
3. Echavez, Francis Adrian - 4 golds, 1 silver
4. Jacob, Cedrick - 1 silver
5. Pua, Whimpee Khale - 1 gold, 4 bronzes
6. Santiago, Alessandro - 1 silver

Francis Adrian Echavez captured the most outstanding swimmer plum in the 14 year old category.

The team placed 5th overall in the Team Category. Congratulations to all our swimmers!

Speedo Jumpstart Swim Fiesta 2008 Results

Congratulations to all our swimmers who participated in this event last May 24, 2008 at the Philippine Columbian Association 25M swimming pool in Paco, Manila. Two of our swimmers were adjudged outstanding swimmers in their age brackets. Kyle De Guzman ruled the 12 year old age bracket while Cedric Jacob ruled the 9 year old category.

The following are our medalists:

1. Arrojado, Mark - 1 silver, 2 bronzes
2. De Guzman, Kyle Linus - 4 golds, 2 silvers, 1 bronze
3. Echavez, Adrian - 3 golds, 3 silvers, 1 bronze
4. Jacob, Cedrick - 4 golds
5. Pua, Whimpee Khale - 3 golds, 2 silvers, 2 bronzes
6. Santiago, Alessandro - 2 golds, 2 bronzes
7. Sta. Ana, Luis Gabriel - 1 silver, 1 bronze

As a team, the Marist Blue Wave Swim Team placed 8th overall out of 37 team entries. This is despite having an all boys team in its roster (others have boys and girls). Herewith are the team results:
