Anilao Open Water Fin Swim

Last Sunday, February 21, six young men from our Club participated in the 1500m Open Water FinSwimming Competition in Anilao, Batangas organized by the Philippine Finswimming Federation.

This is the first open water competition organized by the Federation held at the Pier Uno Resort.

To the delight of their parents, our six boys crossed the finished lines. At one point our dear parents were getting worried as we await for our boys to finish. "Mukhang kaya pa, nag bubutterly pa eh".

It was truly a wonderful experience not just for our boys, but to us parents as well. I'm sure this gives our boys the confidence that they will need in future competitions.

To Julian, Jobie, Carl, Gab, Kyle, Theo & Coach Carding, congratulations! It was a happy day for all as everyone got awards that day.

Next year daw ulit.

2nd Iloilo Dinagyang Age-Group Swim Fest

After soliciting a number of interest from swimmers and parents to take part in this event, our club is confirming its participation in the 2nd Iloilo Dinagyang Swim Fest to be held at the Iloilo Sports Complex, Brgy. Magsaysay, La Paz, Iloilo. This two day (January 23 - 24, Thu/Fri) event is organized by the Iloilo Sea Warriors Swim Club, Inc. This event likewise coincides with Iloilo's famous Dinagyang Festival.

For those interested, it is advised that you book your flights early to avail of the cheapest plane fare. We are currently looking for a reasonable accomodation for our club to stay in and will post this as soon as we have the details.

2008 POF NCR Qualifying Games

2008 Celebrity Rapids Long Course Swimming Competition: June 14 - 15, 2008

MILO Novice Competition: May 31, 2008

Following are the results of the second Novice competition held at the Ultra swimming pool last May 31, 2008 sponsored by Milo:

2. De Guzman, Kyle Linus - 1 silver
3. Echavez, Francis Adrian - 4 golds, 1 silver
4. Jacob, Cedrick - 1 silver
5. Pua, Whimpee Khale - 1 gold, 4 bronzes
6. Santiago, Alessandro - 1 silver

Francis Adrian Echavez captured the most outstanding swimmer plum in the 14 year old category.

The team placed 5th overall in the Team Category. Congratulations to all our swimmers!
